Garcinia Cambogia is a fruit which is native in Asia, some parts of India and Indonesia. It is also known as Malabar tamarind. The fruit is pumpkin shaped and yellow in color. It ripens into a red or yellowish fruit normally the size of an average orange. For a long time, this plant has been used by locals in areas where it’s native as chutneys, curries and treatment of mild illness such as stomachache. It also used in some communities to preserve foods and as a delicacy.
According to locals in its area of origin, Garcinia Cambogia side effects are mild and normally include mild dizziness and nausea and it can be used together with other nutritional supplement. In fact, most of them use it as an additive in most of their native cuisines to make the food more filling. But does garcinia work with other supplements? According to scientist, the main ingredient in tamarind is HCA (hydroxycitric acid). This compound has been clinically proven to suppress appetite, burn fat while at the same time remaining stimulant free. HCA inhibit the pancreas from releasing the hormone responsible for breaking down starch into dextrin and maltose. This triggers the body to result into burning stored fat. Note that no Garcinia Cambogia side effects have been reported in individuals who have used it to suppress appetite. This makes it ideal for individuals who suffer from the 'hunger' when they start losing weight. As such, anyone who is using a dietary supplement meant to aid in weight loss but it does not fight the hunger can use it together with Garcinia Cambogia. The only need to keep track of the dose for optimal result. Serotonin is a hormone found in the brain and helps in controlling appetite, stress and mood swings. When you take tamarind, it increases your levels of serotonin by boosting it production. This helps in controlling food carvings and suppression of appetite. Serotonin also gives a feeling of well being. This explains why some doctors prescribe Garcinia Cambogia as a laxative to help individual with constipation or other medical conditions such as stress, depression, mood swings among others. Again, no Garcinia Cambogia side effects have been reported from its use as a serotonin production booster. Note that as long as it has been prescribed by a doctor, you should not use Garcinia Cambogia with other dietary supplements. Lastly, pregnant mother and young children should not use tamarind without the advice of a qualified healthy professional. However, if they are on it, they should not use it with other dietary supplement without consulting a doctor.
